Because I know of two Ukrainian immigrants whose parents fled the Ukraine during WW II, your story evokes the realization that this basic thing has plagued the Ukrainian people for a very long time.
Your story evokes empathy like few others. To understand is not to fully feel what others are feeling or have felt. But empathy assists understanding like nothing else.
Cogent indeed. One could add perspicacity to the traits of highly intelligent people.
The one I noticed about highly intelligent people is that they learn to read with a high level of comprehension at a very early age. The late actor Jimmy Stuart and the comedian Lewis Black both learned to read newspwpers by the time they were 4 years old.
Yes and RE: And a lot of that hatred came as a result of people defending Hitler’s right to speech." - Isn't it interesting we do the same now with American Nazi groups. We even allow U.S. (Democrat) Senators to threaten violence against Supreme Court Justices, that's who much "free speech" is understood by Americans. (Senator Schumer made the threat over a year ago - no one blinked an eye.)
Additiionally, I remember emailing Speaker Pelosi about (Democrat) Rep. Swalwell's implied threat saying the US government has "nukes" ready to use against gun rights groups. - Clearly an unconstitutional threat under "free speech." Typical "understanding" of free speech: never got a reply from Pelosi - another Democrat.
No coincidence that it's only Independents who see both sides committing removal-worthy offenses, either.
