As a matter of established scientific fact, Earth has offered the most prosperous conditions when the global average temperature was more like 7 degrees centigrade more than it is now. Most of the Meszoic Period was when such conditions existed. Not for a century but for a million centuries. There was no ice or snow anywhere on Earth. All the available water was either in the oceans or in ground water. Hot deserts where certainly hostile to life but life just migrated to the rest of the land that wasn't so hot and dry.

Also do not worry about petroleum companies and "all of their money." Money benefits civilization and so does CO2 emitting combustion. So that money benefits corporations which massively organize and spend to get fossil fuels to the worldwide market is normal and is has been an important part of the plan to civilize Mankind all along.

Right now, there is another massive organizational and spending campaign going on: the one to provide a truly affordable "clean" energy source. When or if that happens, the need for fossil fuels will drop in direct proportion to the speed of conversion.

Finally, all those "world conferences" you write about were purposely designed to deliver just one message so that there were no agencies to protest. This is leaving a false narrative as the only choice.

I believe as follows: Honesty is the product of accuracy and completeness. Trust is the product of honesty. - Therefore it's clear that those "world conferences" you write about are not at all worthy of our trust.
