From the start, my position has always been that politicizing complex matters destroys the original point. In my opinion, both Democrats and Republicans are obliterating rational thought.

As I have tried to explain in previous stories, the only reference we have is to past climatic conditions on this planet. I'm referring to the Mesozoic, 150 million years when greenhouse gases are about 5 times the current level and the global climate was several degrees warmer than today. Of course this was a planet that had no human beings with their unique requirements and adaptability. Some species were able to adapt and the entire clade of dinosaurs sprang forth to become the dominant life form.

No mention is made of this by Democrats politicized and mobilized to create the so-called "environmentalist" movement. These people, viewed objectively are as bereft of reason as the Trumper movement.

Today we're seeing two hurricanes hitting states with furious force in quick succession. But politicized rhetoric still rules. The focus shifts to disaster recovery and recovery aid. The Trumpers lost no time criticizing the government for doing too little for victims. And the other side is just as senseless when they exaggerate the problem, ignoring the fact that supplies of fossil fuels will dwindle and probably vanish as a source of energy.

Not one word by either side is said about improving infrastructure to resist hurricanes even though two hurricanes are laying waste to the aforementioned states.

To me it's odd that Democrats are not telling the public the facts: that climate change is happening, we are getting hit with more frequent and severe storms. This is a problem to be addressed today. But both parties persist in their decades-long debate about what should be done when what should be done is obvious. Dig out, and rebuild with better infrastructure.

The Democrats in particular, annoy me. They have not recognized that we need the ultimate solution, the creation of fusion reactors. This will probably take another decade or two while the climate becomes less friendly to fragile buildings and infrastructure.

It's also surprising that no one has thought to make use of AI. I just asked Chat GBT what a hurricane resistant house would look like - Chat GBT produced a picture of such a house, based on existing houses that stand on the seashore. You can see it in my story titled, Democrats Can Shift To Better Hurricane Defense.

I consider it to be vital that Kamala Harris and the Democrats gain control of the White House and Congress. Yet she is probably unaware of my story and its point.
