Benjamin Franklin in his pamphlet, Plain Truth, said, “We the middling class people.The tradesmen, shopkeepers, and farmers of the province and city!” — Therein lies the understanding we must rely on to get America back to when there was basic agreement on what kind of society and nation we should have. You see, the main characters in the play we call “America” were just that kind of tradesmen, shopkeepers and farmers.
