Sincere thanks for your post. I think it's appropriate to add the multicolume work on Stalin by Princeton Professor Stephen Kotkin to Oleg V. Khlevniuk’s biography of Stalin.

"It's about time" truly applies here because over the last 40 to 50 years, the emphasis in Canada and the U.S. has clearly been focusing on Hitler and the Nazi Party to the extent that much discourse today hardly ever mentions Stalin or Mao, the two top monsters of the last 100 years.

I also believe that all three dictators displayed lack of empathy and lack of remorse. These are two of the chief symptoms of sociopsychopaths.
