Heads up folks. If you happen to watch a list of alleged “time slip” incidents you may find some clever person has worked out a way to scaring the hell out of you.

I watched that “25 times people slipped through time” show. It was a fairly straight forward set up for what was to come. Soon I noticed faint shadows I believed to be a reflection of tree branches blowing in the wind outside. But then without warning the TV went to blank gray- and shadowy hands were against the screen as if they were about to break through. It was amazingly realistic and made me jump. Then the show continued as if nothing had happened, deepening my sense of fear.

I am not easy to fool — this looked very real, like nothing I’ve ever seen before. It only became clear after I had gone on to other shows where the shadows did not appear again. It was obvious then that that had been a set up — a very clever way of scaring the hell out of me.

I can be fooled. But only once in the same way. I am just passing on this experience so that you can avoid being scared silly by someone’s clever manipulation of a video. Just beware of anything involving shadowy hands reaching out of the fog. It’s just an illusion.
