Today’s “Peasants” Are Staging a Smarter Rebellion
Some things that seem to go unrecognized, especially by Liberal / Progressive/ Democrat supporters.
First and foremost is the assumption that Facebook (for example) can control more than they can actually control. Observers have said that Liberals and Progressives seem to live in a world that only includes “today” without regard to the past or logically developed future conditions. They seem to believe they or someone they idolize comes up with “new ideas” constantly and that “old ideas” are literally worthless. They also see huge company Facebook and believe it controls “the peasants” or “the Trump mob.”
In regard to the actions of the so-called “Trump supporters” elitist Democrats also make a distinctive assumption which has been shared through time only by the elite members of any society: that there is a large group belonging to the Labor Class who are only good for doing the bidding of the elites and that “mavericks” can be dealt with swiftly and brutally because they “don’t matter” and aren’t capable of productive self direction. Only those with college degrees matter.
[Which of course is and always has been wrong.]
Guess what: that turns out to be the attitude of past ruling class societies who called this mass of humanity “peasants” or “subjects.” (Yes, whites have been enslaved by other whites and other racial elites in parts of the so-called “muslim world.”)
This is the background assumption I found after I moved to a fairly large university town. I married a woman who was working in an important position in the university and she gave me the tour of her social and professional circles. To clarify: the background assumption was (and still is) that anyone without a college degree is unworthy and of lower capability and therefore may be disenfranchised. Thus do people’s egos create their own subject class. ( elitism: it’s partially a cultural thing and partly an ego thing).
I remember the surprise expressed by the elite academics who traveled to our state capital on “important business” in 2016. They were surprised by the number of Trump signs lining the freeway for 70 miles beginning right outside the city limits. In town: you saw only Clinton signs.
It’s been even more stark during this election: Trump’s rallies gather in over maximum capacity crowds and he’s been having rallies 2 to 5 times every day since his quick recovery from the Corona virus. Biden’s rallies have been few and far between. The disparity is clear even though trained TV camera crews try to avoid showing Biden’s small audiences.
This is the key attitude which led to the rise and fall of the Clintons, for example. When H.R. Clinton lost to Donald Trump that was accompanied by the loss of 33 state legislative majorities and the loss of majorities in both houses of Congress: a complete collapse comparable only to 1952 when Dwight Eisenhower won 82% of the popular vote and the electoral votes in 42 of the 48 states. Adult Americans almost instinctively react against the elitist celebrities of today.
Now I hope my fellow readers see what I meant about the destruction wrought by Liberal / Progressive elitism. Our working class cannot be regarded as backward and inferior — politically or any other way. If they had been paying closer attention they would have seen that Donald Trump is having immense success at re-Americanizing America just as Eisenhower and the Republicans did during most of the Fifties.

A concise lesson in free market economics will help: When a dominant company (Facebook) makes its own product unusable by discriminating against a large part of its consumer base; those customers will flee to competing products (like MeWe). Facebook will probably survive with its approving customer base but it’s important that MeWe goes on in increased form. Both the political and free market landscape has been transformed. Pro American, pro Constitution adults survive too, less hindered than before.
It turns out Trump-supporting “peasants” are smarter and more capable than any Democrat elitist ever dreamed. And they know their history (taught in conservative oriented schools and colleges) — peasants can and do overthrow ruling classes. Today’s “peasants” are staging a smarter rebellion. That’s because they aren’t peasants. They are adult Americans made so by our Constitution and Bill of Right.
It is happening now.
