Carl Sagan never said that the increase in greenhouse gases in Earth’s atmosphere would lead to the same result as it has on the planet Venus. In fact, that is impossible because the two planets never had identical atmospheres. This is shown by the millions of different planets — we have never found an exact duplicate of Earth. We humans evolved on Earth and are fine tuned to exist on this planet but no other.

Sagan highlighted that the same process that keeps the atmosphere of Venus incredibly hot could also have an effect on Earth’s climate. The same process applied to DIFFERENT PLANETS produces DIFFERENT RESULTs! Venus started out with a pure CO2 atmosphere many times thicker than Earth’s.

Sagan’s career ended decades ago and much has been learned since he passed away.

Today’s Democrats are using an out of date book to base their policy of (attempting) to reduce man made greenhouse gases which, in reality, exist in only 400 parts per million CO2. The public is duped into believing these total amateurs should be elected to enact laws mandating reduction of CO2 which is already a fraction of that needed to maintain livable climate on the most populated parts of our planet.

Another factor ignored or possibly unknown at the time is that burning fossil fuels is necessary to maintain interior temperatures in northern climates for many months each year. The supply of fossil fuels is enormous but not infinite. Many estimates put the supply limit at about 150 years. At that point there can be no more widespread burning of fossil fuels — the planet runs out of fuel.
